The extension does not communicate with external servers or third-party services. The only data stored by the extension is:

• A hashed password, stored locally in Chrome Storage
• The lock/unlock state, stored locally on the device

These values never leave your device.

How Your Data Is Used

The locally stored password hash and lock state are used only to:

• Determine whether Chrome should remain locked
• Verify your password when unlocking the browser

This information is never transmitted or shared.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit any data. No information is sent to any server, organization, or developer.

Permissions

The extension requests the minimum permissions required to function:

• tabs – to enforce locking and detect tab activity
• storage – to store password hashes and lock state on the device
• scripting – to display the lock screen over webpages
• webNavigation – to block access to restricted browser pages
• chrome_url_overrides – to secure the New Tab page

These permissions are used strictly for locking the browser.

Third-Party Services

The extension does not use analytics, tracking, advertising, or any third-party services.

Data Security

Your password is stored using a one-way cryptographic hash (SHA-256). The raw password is never stored. All data remains exclusively on your device.

Children’s Privacy

This extension does not collect any data and is safe for use by all age groups.
